Space.io is a multiplayer .io shooter built around short 3D spaceship dogfights. Each match places a pilot against nine rival ships in an open space arena, with the goal of staying alive longer than the rest of the field. The format follows a battle royale structure, so every encounter steadily narrows the competition until one ship remains. Play centers on steering, boosting, and firing while tracking several threats at once. Movement can be handled either with directional controls or mouse guidance on PC, which gives the player a choice between more deliberate positioning and quicker directional adjustments. Combat depends on lining up shots while deciding when to spend a boost for pursuit or escape, since pushing forward can expose the ship to return fire. Three bonuses add another layer to each round by creating moments where detouring for an advantage may be safer than forcing a direct attack. Outside the immediate match loop, progression comes through rankings and cosmetic customization. Players can climb the world leaderboard and unlock more than 17 skins, with certain purchases also affecting damage and health.
